What happens when I cancel?
Your subscription remains active until the end of your billing period. After that, you keep all Free features — unlimited dictation continues working. You only lose access to AI text cleanup features.
Can I use my own API key?
Yes. Dictaro uses a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model. You provide your own API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, or other supported providers. Your text goes directly to your chosen provider — Dictaro never sees it.
Is my audio data stored?
No. Audio is processed entirely on your local machine and is never sent to any server. Dictaro does not store, transmit, or have access to your audio recordings.
What AI providers are supported?
Any OpenAI-compatible API endpoint. This includes OpenAI, Anthropic (via compatible proxies), local models via Ollama or LM Studio, and many other providers.
Is there a free trial for Pro?
The Free tier is unlimited and never expires — it’s not a trial. When you’re ready for AI text cleanup, upgrade to Pro at any time. Cancel anytime, no questions asked.
Do I need an account to use Dictaro?
No. The Free tier works without any account. You only need to sign in if you want to subscribe to Pro for AI features.
